 		The Leaf

 Flittering in the breezes
A leaf falls from the branch
Floating softly, rhythmically
Never touching another
Never spinning out of control
Drifting slowly
Coming to rest
Among a bed
Of thorns and sticks
Never caring
Just resting
Accepting its fate
So it is with my love
Leaving the comforts
But floating gently
Tenderly and lovingly
Only to land safely
Taking no accord of danger
Nestled where it lands
Comforted with itself
And to cushion this bed
For you to land
