Hi to everyone who remembers me - I haven't been on here for a while, as life got so busy and computer problems took their toll.
I just thought I'd visit here again to share this below poem I wrote, as I just had it published in an ex-zine and that made me remember how I was inspired to write it by a song of the same title in the songs section here. The song in question - a very beautiful love song - was nothing at all like my poem, in it's theme or content, but it's title "Midnight Flowers", just grabbed my imagination, and made me write this below piece of my own. I can't find the song tonight, which inspired me here - but anyway, I say in spirit, thank you whoever who inspired me with the title words!
Violets xx
Midnight Flowers
midnight flowers
long hair of the dead
something's stirring
needs to be fed
mists in the moonlight,
beneath a crimson moon:
veiled, deep in shadows
that stir within the gloom
always here
never gone, though hidden
something stirs
something needs to be fed
always here
never gone, though hidden
something stirs -
this night it will be fed
