In reading her eloquent words,
she has become my mentor.
Leaving her life on pages for me to scroll.
Maya Angelou....
her wisdom, gained by her journey.
Angels guide her pen as she creates.
When she lifts up her voice,
it is comforting and powerful.
Listening to her speak,
feels like coming home again.
Words a blanket for me to be wrapped in cozy.
This poetic siren....as she lifts her voice to draw me in.
I swagger under the words.
She carries her self as if royal lineage swims in her blood.
A throne should be her perch.
Her presense magestic...almost comanding attention.
Pains in her life she has used well....for the lesson.
Her life one of many struggles...
She has risen above...and beyond.
I honor her here...for that strength.

She sings to praise your presense...and the freedom of your words.
