Tide moves in pleading presence of me.
Waves crashing colorfully...waving me in like a long lost lover.
My breathing loses itself in deep hues of blue rapture.
Strolling along beside her,
sand caressing the soles of my feet.
Mendocino Coast, earthly heaven, sancuary.
She takes hold of me with startled exulation.
Redwoods surrounding, ancient magic,
I cannot seem to break free of her spell.
She is the Jezabel I cannot resist...
drawn to her...
I walk...listening to her lull me,
shhhhhh, shhhhhh, shhhhh.
Sound empties my mind,
wandering hypnotised.
Cool salt breeze,
worries melt like hot summer chocolate.
Freedom follows my sandy footprints.
Angels dance in billowy clouds,
as wind hums with orchestral splendor.
As the day decays in resolution...
I shake my head and say to myself...
How far have I traveled?
She has done it again.....this wicked sea,
possessed my soul,
yes....once again,

Thank you so much! It's funny...I have lived here for about 4 years now, my first time living by the ocean....the ocean is really right out my back door. It is a very healing experience...it is easy to cry for some reason. Sometimes I can just look at the ocean and just cry. A wonderful experience in my life! I am glad you enjoyed my poetry. It really is as I describe....it holds a special kind of beauty. It is like looking at a naked woman for the first time....i lose my breath. I am amazed sometimes at how truly blessed I am.
