Let's forget about people today...the world on its axis.
With judgement in their eyes,
and gossip on their lips.
Let's not pay attention to how it turns.
I want to escape to my meditative state of mind.
I want to be alone with a body of water,
holding me in its embrace.
Worries floating away in streams and swirls,
into another world more equipped for them.
Natures music all around me,
enchanting me into a trance.
I feel the world fall away from me,
being carried away on the backs of bees.
I am unafraid,
no worries of things or duties in the outer world.
I have gone to a place,
restful...
if only for a brief time.
Meditaion my haven for restful sleep and a resurgence of energy.
Afterall...
everyone needs to escape now and then. _________________ a poets heart is never empty....

Linda there is a typo here but other than that, this one is my favorite read today. I meditate and this describes the process perfect. Can we e-mail? I would love to get to know you better as friends. I really love your poetry and it seems we have much in common. Thanks Linda.

Linda,
I have been meditating for twelve years and I feel this describes it so well. I love the imagery you use, for I am a nature lover as well. I am such a fan, and I read your work whenever I see it here. I feel I haven't posted enough replies though, and I plan to remedy that. I believe that if poems aren't shared and opinions aren't exchanged, then our poems are just out here alone floating away in cyberspace. It is in the interaction of poets, that true understanding can be found right? Well thanks for sharing this one.

If you enjoy getting a reply from a poet,
be thoughtful and reply to that poet's work.
Don't be the one that stops the circle,
of good feelings and sharing thoughts.

Tullia,
Thank you so much for your very kind words. It is always nice to meet someone else who meditates and enjoys the outdoors. I am part native american and so this is part of my spirituality. It is where I gain my strength when the worl makes me weary. Yes I believe it is important that we support each other, as writers, as lesbians, as women, as a community. I do understand how busy life can get...and I believe things happen as they should...so you have posted just enough. It is enough that I know you enjoy my work and I am honored.
Take good care,
