Whatever happened to

Ok I know I only come here occasionally, but I can't help noticing that Eire has not been here for a while....

Does anybody have any idea why?

Has she:
flown to the moon Shocked
had enough of us Sad
lost the power of (typed) speech?Crying or Very sad
died Crying or Very sad ?

Maybe she's just too busy...but I'd really like to know....I miss her ...

Been wonderin about that too.

I see her show up occasionally but not like she used to.

Life probably intervened. It happens to the best of us.

I miss you Eire and I wish you and Deb well in whatever life is throwing at you.

I won't pretend to answer for Eire, but I will answer for phoenix and myself.
We have not been around much lately because it is impossible to have a meaningful discussion of substantive issues on the boards. Eire used to post many interesting questions in the "debate" section but that section is now gone and so is Eire coincidentally. We are left with the wonderfully deep questions of "What is your favorite song?" or "Which mythological creature are you?" and lots of fascinating quizzes.

Personally, I prefer to delve a little deeper in sharing different thoughts and opinions.

I've been wondering about Eire also. She is really missed here. I hope she is ok. Does anyone have another way to contact her?

In response to what you say....the debate section has'nt disappeared for good *chuckling.

It was only removed temporarily to give me some breathing space. I spent so much time sorting issues on the site and behind the scenes that I was practically at the end of my tether and this almost broke the proverbial camels (melons) back. I guess I got a little fed up sorting disputes out between people and then knives coming my way when no one liked my decisions. So I removed the forum for a while whilst the US presidential debates are ongoing and so everyone could calm down somewhat.

In the meantime I've been doing the round of secondary schools for my youngest daughter....been away all last week on business to Amsterdam...etc...etc.

I'l put the debate forum back so long as no one debates the forthcoming elections!! Is that a deal? Wink

luv'n'hugs to you and Pho,

Mel xx

thanks for putting the debate section back up, Mel. I think I can speak for my Floridian counterparts (Pho & Kh) when I say that having that section back has virtually nothing to do with their post... (i.e. there's a lot more to it)...

but - it can be summed up to say that as usual, the site is in flux and new people come in always and make it their home, which is as it should be. I think at this point, the mean age level has dropped about twenty years from a year ago, which makes a huge difference in the conducive environment on the site.

and I also talked to eire and she sounds just dandy Smile

What a thoughtful post Fish! Since I can remember Eire has been a powerhouse of support for others and her presence does not go unnoticed.
So Eire... tag...your it! hehe
