I went to the council to get a form to tell the council that I am moving house (to live with my gf) and was told i had to see an advisor. I waited in the queue and eventually got to speak to one. She said we had to fill in the beginning part of the form and then she would print it off and i would have to take it home for the other occupant to sign it. She asked me all the questions on the form apart from the question where it asked if we were partners. She automatically filled it in as no! I was so shocked and annoyed that she had just assumed that because we were 2 females that we werent partners. I didnt say anything to her about it which I perhaps should have done but I was just really stunned. I would have thought that the council would have had a policy of asking these questions and not assuming. I am considering complaining about this because it really did annoy me. Any thoughts on this ladies?
