Hey! Rather new to Mels and I can login to the forums and general website but not chat and I would love to chat with some of you all! Anyone know what the problem could be?

I'm sorry ot hear that you can't log into chat, are you using your username and password when trying to log in there?
If so then i'm sorry but i don't know why you can't access chat! maybe a moderator can help you hun.
