It has been 1 year today since I have found the wonderful world of Mel’s Queerdom. I do so thank the lady that pointed me in this direction. She knew at the time that I was having a hard time and thought you all could help. And help you all did!!
I have been through many changes in the last year. Going from ecstatic to majorly depressed. And through it all I had my Mel’s ladies to listen to me. You all have helped me see that there is a light at the end of every tunnel and it is not always that of an on coming train like I used to think. You have helped me realize that the only way to find love is to first love myself. That has been a hard journey and I am getting there slowly.
I have also made wonderful friends that if I never get to meet I am still glad that we get to talk.
Some of the ladies here have listened to my cry, bitch, be happy and ramble about nothing. I have felt love and support from you all.
DG ~ you were one of the first ladies who reached out to me when I first entered chat on this day a year ago. You have seen me happy, sad, hurt, angry and confused (though who hasn’t seen that?). You have always had words of encouragement and friendly advice. You have been the person who I felt I could always turn to for advice and answers.
HJ ~ we have just started talking recently. You have shown me love and support and shared things with me that makes me see it is possible to go on and find love again. Even tho we don’t get to talk often I know I can always find you blowing round here if I need you. I wish you and DG the best.
Small&LAF ~ somewhere the two of you are hiding together. The three of us were “newbies” together and had lots of fun picking on those here before us. I am glad that you guys have found each other and are working on overcoming the distance. Pop in once and a while to see us!!
Under, Wil, LB and QOFF ~ you ladies have more the cheered me up on days that I have been down. I know I have you listed as a package but you all mean a lot to me individually. Each of you has shown me support in different ways. Brought me lots of laughter and even seen a few tears. I am glad to have met you all!!!
You ~ this name I am keeping to myself for now, but know that you have made me see that it is possible to care for someone even after it feels like your heart has been ripped from your chest. I knew from the first time we met that there was something special about you and you prove that to me more each day. I cant wait to see where we are going to go from here. There is more to say but that will have to be kept between us *WEG*
Though I list these few ladies I have been touched in someway by everyone here. I could never ask for a better place to call my second home. Your love and support have helped my see that I am worth fighting for and loving. Hears to a great first year and many more to come I hope!!!

What a wonderful thing to read this morning star. Mels is a great place, and you are so right about loving yourself first. So, happy Melsday, and hpefully i'll get to know you too!

Ok so I'm out of hiding for now....
I remember it clearly a year ago, the three of us "newbies" in the lobby and getting our chops busted by real bc we were acting up so much. Ah, it was classic! We have all come so far in just a year...

yes i do seem to remember that incident!
i also remember getting told off by Raven too!!
And i may not have come so far i still get busted once and a while just for fun,
