why is it so hard for girls to tell others that they're gay
...........or is it just me?
have u girls ever wondered why guys can just say right of the bat that they're gay. and for girls, it takes a lot of courage and willingness to tell others that they're lesbians? i've wondered this for a long time. i really want to tell ppl because it'll feel so much better, but it's so hard because ...i don't know........
any clue?

i dont tell people im gay...its sacred to me...i like to keep it to myself..
if someone asked me if i was i would tell them...
otherwise i like to keep that part for myself

Do you really think it's easier for guys? I wouldn't count on that. I have this wild theory that is easier to 'speak up' when your are more surrounded by the opposite sex, because they are much less likely to take it badly (well, in my overflowed-with-guys-college I guess they would curse a lesbian because it's not only an unavailable girl but also competition xD). Anyway all this IMHO.

yea it's true, i agree loretta. it is harder to tell the same sex because ur afriad u'll scare them off.
i don't tell ppl even if they ask me if im gay, because there's no point, it's not like im gonna find another gay girl around....i mprobably will, but then the whole world would look at me differently.

I know more openly gay men than women where I go to school, and I really don't know why. I can't really name more than maybe two openly lesbian girls. It's odd to me. I don't think it is necessarily easier for a guy, but I could see where you get that idea. I'm not out, either, so...yeah, lol.
