Portrait of Lisa

She has long raven black hair,
tickling the valley of her waist
and settling on a voluptuous moon.

Cocoa eyes, pure pools
of melted chocolate,
seduce me every time.

Her lips are peach slices, sugary.
They're sweet to kiss
and lovely to smile with.

Inside she is a concert of laughter,
giggles bouncing between
heart muscle and soft skin,
infectuously spreading to those
who love her like I do.

And though she is a portrait of perfection,
this work of art is in love with my raggedy soul.
I am not deserving, and I do not compare --
but I do not question why she was given to me.
I just lie back and breathe in
her breathtaking beauty.

just wanted to say I thought this was beautiful. Wow I liked the reference to chocolate eyes - what a metaphor! best Violets
