Although I am not exactly 'out' at work, it has always been my policy to answer honestly when anybody asked me if I am a lesbian. A couple of months ago, one guy at work asked me something about my 'girlfriend' and, I answered "yes, she is my girlfriend". Well, since then, when we are working together, he keeps making remarks... as if he is my 'peer' and we share the same opinion of women (which we CERTAINLY do not). I don't want to be rude and tell him to keep his thoughts to himself, but on the other hand, I would very much like for him to not make the comments he makes to me "just because he knows I am a lesbian"... Some of the things he says are offensive- not only to me, but to women in general. Should I report him to the supervisors or just pray I don't have to work along side of him?? Or am I just being petty?

I don't think it is rude at all to tell him to keep his thougts to himself. That is where i would start. Before calling in mangement; just being me, I would tell him that I find his comments offensive, rude, uncalled for and not necessary to the energy of producing your product... Then i would bother to bring in management. If that didn't work, i would get a lawyer. .... Keep a journal? Now is a good tme to start = date, time, person, quote.
But, really, i would first try to address the issues human to human. _________________ " The sorcerers in life are created within each of us" --- Lynn V. Andrews

I'd cut his remarks, but being "a little" aggresive (and being second in command at my office helps too) my situation is easier. _________________ ˇˇˇSaludos!!!
