It's with a heavy heart that I inform you of the imminent closure of this website and all message boards.
It's been about 18 years since the site first started and I know it was a special haven for many women and was certainly a place for free expression. It was for me too and I will be sad to see it go.
Many women found their soulmates and others found lifelong friendships, each were forged here. That was a great achievement for this small site which started from very humble beginnings.
So, unfortunately, the site will be closing in 14 days. As such, please ensure that you have retained electronic or paper versions of all your work posted here, as there will be no way to retrieve it after the site closes.
As a reminder, the site was never a repository for members writings. Statements were present on the site reminding users to retain their original writings, whether hand written or electronic versions, at all times. As such, the site has no responsibility for lost or non retained work after site closure. It is and always has been, the responsibility of each user to retain their own work by separate means.
I'll miss coming on here and seeing the posts, as I miss all of you.

I know it's been a long time, and it isn't what it was. It holds a special place in so many of our hearts, of how it was back then. I am not faulting your decision, it's totally fair, but is this purely regarding cost of keeping the site open? If so could you contact me first please, pretty please?
