Cheating...?

Cheating is cheating, but to you which is worse? Her cheating on you with another woman or with a man?

Doesn't matter...man or woman, it's all the same to me.

I think both are awful, but if it was with a man, it would disgust me and turn my stomach a bit more.

doesn't matter to me. it would hurt both ways..

that's why I stick to open relationships (even with the woman I live with). It saves the hurt and heartache.

a poll might better answer this
BUT ... cheating is a verb and not gender specific, if that helps

I would have to agree with DP.

I think just the idea of thinking of her with a man would disgust me. Either way cheating would be terrible but definitely i think if she cheated with a man it would be worse.

I don't think anyone needs to run a poll here for you to know that cheating feels bad, no matter what the gender of the people involved. I've been there - I have been cheated on, and I have cheated on others (believe it or not, even that doesn't feel good either). I was devastated by the former, and I am not proud of the latter. Even in open relationships the arrival of someone else can be difficult to handle - it shifts the balance of things around and touches on people's emotions in unforeseen ways.

At the end of the day, we are emotional beings, we experience hurt, we feel let down, even betrayed in some circumstances, and it seems as though we are not in control of these emotions at all. It does little good telling ourselves we are being irrational about the situation, because our emotions are not subject to reason.

Are you going through this at the moment? I hope your question was simply hypothetical. If you are going through it, you have my sympathy. Like I said - been there! It's hard to fight your way through the feeling of emotional annihilation, I know, and I hope you can tough it out.

If you're not going through this right now, then I hope you never do.

With all good wishes,

Mb
xx
