Having to let go is so hard

Ah I am not the 'moan and groan' type but I had to get this of my chest.

Lots of tests led my doctor to give me some bad news. I was already prepared for it however it never dawned on me that it would involve my motorbike.
It may sound silly if you never driven one but my Honda TransAlp is my baby since 2001. I even bought her before I earned my licence to drive a bike.

Today I had to face the facts and let it lead its own life.
So I cleaned her for the last time. I took some pictures (I know totally silly). I even videotaped the sound she makes when she starts up and you give her some throttle.
She is now at my friend's house who will take the selling under his control cause I can not bring myself to do it.
I don't want a last ride on her as a passenger. I just said goodbye and left.
It is a sad day.

It certainly is sad when you have to part with a loved one. I hope your motorbike goes to a kind new owner.
