Telling my parents, wish me luck!

Hey everyone! I've finally decided to tell my parents that I am bi, and I hope to do so tonight. I believe that they will support me fully, even though my dad is a little iffy on the issue. Wish me luck, and I'll let you know how it goes.

Well, it's done and over with! My mom was a little suprised, but she did the motherly "whatever makes you happy" speech. My dad just mumbled something about how calc homework is more important than anything else right now (I'm redoing a calc class over the summer.) and left. He hasn't mentoned anything about it since. He doesn't seem at all mad or anything of the like, so I think it will work out.

Congratulations..... feeling better?.... now, please, as odd as this may sound, give your folks time to settle and think... you are a new whole person in their thoughts - at least for a bit....

Hmmm, I believe that the "notify me when a reply is posted" is not working corectly. Oh well. ^^ Thank you for your support Cavewoman, Ronja, and Amelie! Suprisingly (but happily), very little has changed. My parents haven't mentioned it at all since, and I've built up the courage to tell several of my friends. Everyone has been very wonderful about it, and one of my friends (whom I would like to have a closer relationship with) replied with "Isn't everyone, at least to some degree?" Very Happy I'm hoping this means that she is open to having a relationship with another woman. I am quite happy with the way things have turned out, and I hope I can manage to be more open in the near future! Everyone here makes me feel like being completly open would not be such a bad thing. Thanks to you all! Arrow
