she's Aphrodite under that kiss curl
and she doesn't know you watch her
pursing her lips to blow it away.
she's just how you want her to be.
fingertips pressed against her temple,
the goddess waits, unmoving;
her day has been long.
you've come to break her vigil
and as her head rises, her eyes come alight and she smiles...
nothing more lovely.
