it takes time to know one's appreciation
for love life and living and it goes far beyond
our minuscule abilities to apprehend love ourselves.
i have tried many times to explain this to others
but never successfully, and never through prose,
and yet in an instant i'm getting this simple message across.
i guess that with poetry there's always more time
to put words together and completely break the rules.
