Have you ever
Have you ever dreamed with your eyes open,
I use to every night.
Wishing you were beside me,
so that I could hold you tight.
Do you really believe I didn't hurt,
that I wasn't torn inside?
My heart wasn't mine anymore,
all I could do was cry.
Forcing a smile upon my face,
while the tears built up inside.
Putting on my act I convinced everyone but me,
see I was dieing with no one to share it with baby.
Living a lie while my fairy tale was far away,
dreaming of tomorrow and hoping everyday....
that you hadn't moved on...someone wasn't laying next to you,
wishing I could hold you in my arms its all I wanted to do.
I tried to get over the love that we shared.
Songs that were played, places we went,
I seen your face in everyone...
everything around reminded me of you.
Feeling so torn apart I didnt know what to do,
yes I was with another...
but without you there could be no other.
You've had my heart long before we ever met,
soul-mates from afar we connected so strong.
I could feel you still as if you were close to me,
I was willing to bet you felt it too baby.
I took a leap the first time telling you how I felt,
I had to take the chance again.
To let you know the flame still burned,
the fire you lit within me can never be put out.

As I sit here about half asleep, I kept wondering why ths poem seemed a bit familiar! Then it struck me!! DUH! I'd read it on your site!! (I really must be more tired than I thought! )
I really like this one ....... This one also describes a lot of what I am feeling right now ..... I appreciate you sharing these all with all the ladies ..... I can really tell these are all written straight from your heart.
