Black Hole
...
It is a black hole sometimes,
living.
Living in the dark,
even the light can suck you in and blind you all over again
to what will touch you next
to what will happen...next.
I suggest a good fuck, creamed coffee and a smoke
a good, black pen and lined paper
A few friends that are just as fucked up as yourself
and making a copyright of entitlement...
'Entitled to live in the black void for awhile not knowing what to do'
I give the rest to love and hope when it applies
to art when it acts as a sensory eye to the viable world
Sometimes to grace, the inhaler in this ride
But man this is heavy stuff
the thickness you can't touch to choke it
And you know everyone wants to have to 'right' answers for you
as you are floating along in this dark abyss
and they want to leave it on the table
and you are screaming, hell just give me your hand if you are walking on land
but it seems too much...
and then all of a sudden
the light falls on something
is it a revelation?
Just one little thing
illuminated
and you light that cigarette
knowing it is going to kill you one day
but let's not talk about guilt
that one word, or that one moment in your life
you see an out
maybe not permanent
but that one morsel of wisdom you can actually collect
to live in your veins for vitality
and you can still have a fantastic fuck, and a hot cup of coffee
you can still be graceful
and you realize
the black hole was everything you felt alone within
Does it sound like I am crazy, well if I am then let it be
just let it be
we collect words more than moments at times
personal rejection more than the actual translucency at times
we collect 'positive thinking' when the world goes to shit
when our own world collapses
dying to tell the world how it is suppose to be
and what they have to do
when we don't even know ourselves
and right there..it is in that
we fail to know what it is all about
But if we sit
in this dark abyss
just for a little while
alone
and for what that means
maybe
just maybe
we might understand
what the human heart is worth
what life is worth
what an effort is worth
not to judge it
but to live it
as honestly as we can
Your life is worth the telling, as is mine
I guess that is all I know
in this dark abyss
floating
and wandering
and maybe
we will meet one day
We will meet in the clarity of the void
we work so hard to describe
...

I really have no words for this.
All I can say is YES. That's it EXACTLY.
Fantastic write, and bravo for being able to put it out there like that.
Usually when I try to describe that feeling, I just scream it all in my head, it never comes out in the poem I want it to be.
