some lovers do stay
transience, it is a large truth of this world
and we all must learn to cope
but it is not carved in stone
you never find the true gems. . .
unless you are willing to invest
by giving chances, putting them to the test.

putting them to the test,
is often the best way to find out
whether feelings are true.
yes... it may hurt to discover
it was all superficial,
and ready to break ,
running for cover
at the first sign of trouble.
but then again, sometimes
love can be so real,
we have to be cruel to be kind,
and just pray that this time

compared to some others i know.
But don't get me wrong, i've had problems too,
But i'm not as likely to show,
