She Waited

She Waited
By
Irene Delacorte
26 April 2008

She stood by the shore and waited
Gazing out to sea, her mind wandered
Thoughts of the past, thoughts of the future
Occupied her mind as she waited

Words had passed between them, always
Thoughts shared for all time, they shared
Profoundly her mind worked the thoughts
Sanguinely she thought, days to come

Her hand drifted down and she touched
Touching her eternal soul, she waited
Her body called to her with memories
Lush nights and dreamy days, with her

Drifting in those thoughts, she waited
Wanting her touch, her beautiful touch
Wanting her kiss on her full lips
Wanting her body beside her

Time seemed to stretch out before her
Time had been so compressed before
But now was before her, a void
To be filled with her, forever

Was it her mind or her body
That drew upon her thoughts today
What did she love, a shape or her
What created her, the only one

Her love for her grasped for her mind
The waves gently flowed to the shore
Waves of emotion swept her soul
Falling to her knees she cried out

Arms around her, she felt her touch
She had dreamed of that touch on her
Soon to be real, soon to be hers
Tears of pleasure feel from her eyes

Thoughts of their first night together
Filled her psyche and libido
Feelings within her rose in triumph
Nights everlasting, forever more

She saw the ship on the horizon
Barely visible, could it be her love
Is she there, finally to be with her
Is it possible, this happy

Standing by the railing, I looked
Looking toward the distant shore
Water between us, so fragile
Searching for her, in this distant land

Is that her, kneeling by the wayside
Could that be, my heart leaps to her
Yes, Oh my god yes, it’s her there
She is there, she is there, she waited

Irene,

At the end of this poem I had a huge smile on my face as two very happy hearts came together.

Hugs,

Oh Eiregirl,

This poem was to My Kas, my wife, I wrote it so fast, the words literally flew from my fingertips. It was a dream, I dreamed of her that night, waiting for me at the seaside in Southhampton.

When I saw her face, in my dream, I awoke and went over and wrote this poem to her, for her, of her.

And when I finished, I too had a huge smile on my face.

All My Love
Your Irene

Happy Endings

Dearest Purp,

Most of my poems have a "Happy Endings", it is
just difficult to define what that is. In this poem it
was seeing My Lover.. in others it is meeting the
needs of My Mistress... *sigh* so hard to define.

Thank You for your comment!!!

Love You
Your Irene
