Poetry from a schizophrenic lesbian
~~ I have my issues...I am a diagnosed schizophrenic, bipolar, agoraphobic, social anxiety disorder..... and a lesbian as well...I thought maybe I could find a place to unleash the madness inside my head, the sickness that projects unusual writings....a chance to capture a single thought , which usually moves too fast to grasp....I hope in what I say, you will find educational and always entertaining...I am new here, and this is my first posting...Thanks~~
I didnt know it was a
crime
to be so sad.
I didnt know this pain could leave me
a
prisoner
in myself.
A life sentence
for my
weakness
from which I can never break free.
And it's like I'm digging my own
grave
.
Like I can't do anything but this,
dying
to be anything but this,
and anywhere but
here

I hear ya there..
-This is one of the first poem's I read on this sight that really has special meaning. Mental illness or disorder is very hush hush where I am from, my friends from high school would be devastated if they knew about my disorder which is both emotional and mental, which really freaks me out.
-I'm glad to know that there are other lesbians that are out about these kind of problems.
