An original poem

I'm not sure if this is where I am supposed to post this, but I felt like posting it anyway. It's a poem I wrote myself. It's somewhat important to me because it was the first time I let myself write about my feelings for women other than my ex-girlfriend.

Poetic Beauty
The way your dark hair, like feathers,
settles into place
The way the sun and the shadows
play across your face
The way your slight frame, so graceful,
poses as you sleep
The way your bright eyes, like embers,
burn with flames so deep
The way your soft smile, so gentle,
is turned to me
The way your laughter, oh so rare,
sounds like poetry.
These are all the things I hold dear,
deep within my heart
Locked up and guarded jealously,
while I play my part.
These are the things I always see,
but dare not to speak,
Frightened of seeming so human,
of seeming so weak.
Such tenderness and love are meant
for the rest of the human race.
This I know, yet I can't help but
yearn for your embrace.

So, what do you think? Love it? Hate it? Able to relate to it? Comments welcome.
