Any lesbian books you can recommend?
I have been searching my local library for Lesbian romance , but the ones that i have seen involves a woman discovering she likes women after being with a man for years or having kids which is depressing , so i dont purchase those
Is their any books out that that features lesbian love where the woman is clued up about her sexuality from the get go and has a relationship with a woman?
Im not sure anyone here knows of any... Hopefully someone would

Dandelion,
There are some wonderful lesbian authors out there. I used to manage a bookstore. Robbie Summers is a good place to start. She rights some wonderful erotica and love stories....all about women loving women. Good luck.
Peace,

Dandelionprincess,
as a book about lesbian romance I think I can recommend you Jeanette Winterson's books especially "Written on the body" and " The passion"

Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown. She is the partner of Fannie Flagg. _________________ "Okay look, Yoda needs to give me some better advise or Yoda needs to shut the fuck up."

I think Kathleen Forrest's "Curious Wine" is simply the best lesbian novel I have read. I also absolutely adore Verda Foster's "These Dreams", Peggy J Herring's "Once More With Feeling", and oldie but goodie "The Price of Salt" by Patricia Highsmith.
For young adults the best I have ever read was "Keeping You A Secret" by Julie Peters.
And my friend Jan Vincent would definitely recommend "Patience and Sarah" by Isabel Miller.

Lesbian Books
I like Sarah Waters, as far as that time period, although I find that it gets a little tired, a little boring. I like Michelle Tea. The Chelsea Whistle, Valencia....they have a raw gritty feeling to them, and they are true stories. _________________ Evil will always triumph over good, because good is dumb.

I agree that for best reads - Sarah Waters is very hard to beat. Fabulous writing style!!
Another good write/read is The Well of Loneliness - by Radclyffe Hall.
I have also enjoyed a couple of mystery fiction series where the PI is a lesbian - and her story, along with the crime she is solving run nicely alongside each other. I found them great entertaining light reads. Best to read them in the sequence they were written!!
Author - Sandra Scoppettone - the PI is Lauren Laurano - from memory a 5 book series.
Author - Mary Wings - the PI is Emma Victor - from memory a 4 book series.
I found them and loads of other lesbian love books in the romance section of my local library - simply by keying in the word "lesbian" to the catalogue.
Good reading ................ Slacko _________________ If you don't have a dream, how are you going to have a dream come true??

Try Sarah Waters
I can really recommend Sarah Waters' Tipping the Velvet'. I haven't read a better lesbian novel. Allthough all her other novels are very good.
Happy reading. _________________ We lose ourselves in the love we give and find ourselves in the love we receive. -me
