ok, but the national scientific organisations of EVERY major industrialised country will tell you that the sun is NOT to blame. so why do you choose to believe this minority of scientists who think it is purely caused by the sun?

33,

I believe Phoenix simply posted an article from "The Telegraph" she did not say anywhere that I have read that she believes the Sun is solely to blame.

If you had read the entire article (Phoenix posted a link to it) then you would have read that the scientist who led that study said there were other contributing factors. If that link does not work anymore try this one…
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2004/07/19/ecnsun18.xml

Dr. Sami Solanki stated in that article, "the brighter Sun and higher levels of "greenhouse gases", such as carbon dioxide, both contributed to the change in the Earth's temperature but it was impossible to say which had the greater impact."

If I'm wrong in the above statement Phoenix please correct me.

It cannot be denied that the Sun plays and extraordinarily huge role in our planets climate and life on Earth as we know it.

There are many studies that have been performed and ongoing studies in relation to the Sun and Earths climate. Yes there are many people researching everything that can have any significant affect on our climate. In my opinion it is not just any one thing. It is not just CO2 gases, sulphate aerosols or cow burps in Wisconsin. It is all of those things and more working together that will increase the temperature here on Earth that will eventually lead to another Ice Age. Sounds odd huh…global warming leading to an Ice Age…hey it has happened before it can happen again…with all the stuff we put into our atmosphere we will just make it happen a little faster is all.

We have only had about 200 and MAYBE in the neighborhood of 300 years of any halfway decent recorded observations of our climate and only about 100 to 150 years of decent observations of the Sun and only for about the last 10 to 20 years any real good data to crunch on just how big of a role the Sun’s activities play on our day to day existence. The 11 year solar cycle was not known to exist until 1843 and the Sun’s 22 year magnetic cycle was not found until the early 1920’s (I think it was 1924…not sure and don’t feel like looking it up at the moment). I wonder what other cycles will be discovered in the future. Yellowstone Caldara has an eruption cycle estimated to be between 600,000 and 700,000 years and it has been roughly 645,000 years since its last eruption...hmmm something to think about…if that place blows anywhere near like people think it has in the past or with anywhere near its full potential then we will not have to worry about global warming for a very long time.
With evidence showing that there is a connection between Sun activity and the Little Ice Age as well as well as evidence on warming and cooling periods dating back to prehistoric times were a trend in Sun activity corresponds then for any scientist to discount Dr. Solanki’s observations as having no real affect on global warming is nothing more than another one of the stupid idiotic scientists who think they are smarter than anyone else when they are in fact as dumb as a rock…oh wait…the rock is smarter.
At least there have been some like Dr. Gareth Jones (quoted in the same article). He stated that Dr. Solanki’s findings were inconclusive but he also stated, “The Sun's radiance may well have an impact on climate change but it needs to be looked at in conjunction with other factors”. There are people who look at Solanki’s study and are open minded enough to see how the Sun does or can play a role while there are those who are just to narrow minded or to stubborn to see beyond the human factor and lay their eyes on yet another possible contributing factor. When they finally all pull their heads out and decide to work together instead of bickering about who is right and who it wrong they might finally come up with a decent answer. Oh wait…some scientists have decided to work together and listen to other possibilities…I hope they are the ones smarter than rocks.

Hugs,

the point i was making was that an overwhelming majority of scientists say human activities have a significant impact on the climate. so why do people like phoenix only listen to the small minority?

Definition of troll :
troll (v.) (1) To deliberately post derogatory or inflammatory comments to a community forum, chat room, newsgroup and/or a blog in order to bait other users into responding from http://isp.webopedia.com/

troll(1) As a verb, the practice of trying to lure other Internet users into sending responses to carefully-designed incorrect statements or similar "bait." from http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/0,,sid9_gci213222,00.html

In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as an online discussion forum to bait users into responding. They may also leave messages that others may find disturbing (usually indirectly relating to the individual in person) in order to cause confrontation. Trolls are recognizable by the fact that they have no real interest in learning about the topic at hand - they simply want to utter flame bait. Like the ugly creatures they are named after, they exhibit no redeeming characteristics, and as such, they are recognized as a lower form of life on the net. While not necessarily related to hacking, such a practice is against the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the United Kingdom, where mischief is caused in order to ensure chaos is spread from http://www.pacificit.ca/article/308 and http://dictionary.die.net/troll

Conclusion

33LB, you are a TROLL, and not even a good one. We have had much better trolls before, Fyrstar comes to mind, and even trollettes like Alice, who had forgotten what you still have to learn. You have no real interest to learn from us, you think you are playing with the 'lesbians' as you have them in your sicko mind from watching all that fake lesbo porn.

33LB, go back to your mamma's basement where you crawled from... Oh wait, have you maybe thought about the possibility that your mamma could be lesbian?? Why dont you show her the posts you made here? Our members will not respond to you anymore, as most of us are all net-savvy, and you have now been exposed as someone who is trying to learn how to be a proper troll.

For the rest of the Mels ladies, DNFTT stands for Do Not Feed The Troll. It simply means that you do not respond to anything the troll posts. If you cant resist, and find your finger hitting that reply button, just post the letters DNFTT. He feeds on the responses, and if he dont get food, and is unsuccessful in picking the fight he wants, he will go away and die.
