The middle of the nation is really kind of sad in some ways isn't it?

The best I can come up with is Coloroado and that is nto exactly central.

I figure it is gonna have to be east or west. Not much for us ladies anywhere else

Spell check is my friend.

Horrible dilemma this is Rolling Eyes

Then you can always be the absolute diplomat and let the east coasters and the west coasters just do their own thing Laughing

Because life has torn me away from Mels as of late, I haven't voted, said my 2 cents or anything lately. I will be checking out these sites in the next evening or two & letting u all know what I think. I really would like to be able to join the 2007 festivities. I know money is a big issue for a lot of us. But, a thought for those of us in the USA?? This is easier said than done, but for me anyhow, if a person was able to save some of their tax returns they get the first part of the year (if u r lucky enough to get one) then that might help ease the money worries?! Sounds a little silly, but it's about the best option I personally have for increasing my chances of being able to go! lol

Anyhow, I will give more thoughts .... as random as they may be ..... in the next few days.

hey lemons.... no joking... a great deal of our 2006 ability to attend came from exactly that source.. end of year income tax return.....looking forward to your 2 cents

dilemma... thank you coconut!!!!!!!!

diplomat? dunno about that one, tact has never been a trait famously attached to me.... but we do need to figure out what we're doing, especially if we're serious about renting a private home... they tend to reserve quickly for the following summer

Ok
I have to go find the link for something that I was looking at but I have been wandering qhite a bit

I saw one place(location a secret for the moment)
2 room suits
Each accomidate 4 people but can handle up to six depending on the situation.
Is gay friendly
And costs 136 a night
Divide that by 4 and that is less that 35 a night per person

Anyway
Still browsing for differnet ideas I can send you so you can have more information to over load your brain with Wink

UK!

I'm putting the word in for the UK gathering now! I am immigrating to Scotland in the near future and I know we've got alot of members in the UK. When the time comes to immigrate and after I've settled in with my gf, I'll be glad to help orchestrate plans to meet up somewhere. This is just a bug in the ear for UK members to start thinking.

I agree with Cave on the California location and not just because I'm a Californian! lol Mostly because the weather tends to be more reliable than some of the east coast locations. If we stay in hotels it doesn't matter because we can all still socialize.

If I'm able to drive at the time of the gathering i will be able to help with people and their transportation dilemmas because I own a mini-van (stop laughing). What can't be shoved into the van can be strapped onto the rack on the roof!

Another idea is Las Vegas! I'm heading there in September with my gf so I've got to see all sorts of accomodations. The hotel prices can be suit anyones budget. There are also condos all over the place that can drop the cost down to under $100 per person for a week. I've seen some condos that sleep 11 people comfortably. Some have private pools and such. It's all a matter of what people want and can afford. Most airlines have reasonable flights to vegas and even packages. As far as things to do, it's the city that never sleeps so the skies the limit.

Anyways, thoughts and ideas!

Well, July 31 has passed... there are 13 votes with only 8 ladies responding verbally to explain their choice...

tainted results is was these are....its not fair to those who READ the poll intro AND followed the guidelines to simply presume that the outstanding last five poll inputs are valid..............

so..........whaddya wanna do ladies?

Slave is right... I too can only count 7 legitimately explained poll tallies....
Deuce - Florida... which?
Slave - NC
Coconut - Palm Springs
Lost - NC
Cave - Palm Springs
Chord - Florida...which?
Az - Palm Springs

so.................nearly half the poll tallies are unexplained.

Whatcha wanna do?
I'm all for reposting the poll with the understanding that ONLY explained "choices" be included.... for the life of me, I don't know what was so hard in the first place about just doin it right the first time....

and if only 7 of us seriously plan to attend... well, that's not a real big meeting is it? should be simple enough ... (I pray).........

OR... we arrange a meet in chat for ALL interested parties and hash this out a bit "face to face"

cheapest... again.... depends on what one must spend for travel AND how many ladies show up.... its all relative.... which is why this ain't provin easy.
