Camping??? That's still done outdoors right, where bugs, and all sorts of other creepy critters reside? If this is the case, no camping for Mocha! Very Happy

Besides I'm with Mdm, where would I plug in my hairdryer, or get my nails done? Wink

Dated a biker once. Got taken to bike rallies. Loved the ride, loved the bikes, loved the company. HATED the necessity of staying under canvas. I will do it at a pinch, but never too far from a brick-built ablution block.

Camping, hell yeah, it's just a temporary absence from my electronic necessities. And, since there are no RVs in this state...I would have to go with tent, especially in the mountains. Although, for beach camping, a tarp on the sand and a blanket are enough...ok, almost enough.

My idea of roughing it is a Hotel/resort with an OUTDOOR pool. I love nature by day or maybe for one night but after that its the spa, restaurants, dancing, luxury for me.

Absolutely LOVE camping!!!!!!
Nothing better......... and I must do it at least once every two months to keep my sanity and my cool............(People will die if i do not camp)

And how.....? Anyplace, any which way! Few examples!

1. On the beach, 10 miles from the closest civilisation, no tents, just good company and the surf and the stars and a big bonfire and a skinny dip at midnight in the salty waters .... UM (Real regains focus)

2. In the bush, in the wild, the Okavango delta, no fences, primitive ablutions, elephants and hippos and lions and a makorro to float on the seethrough water and good company and a tent and a sundowner of gin and tonick for the mozzies and a mozzie net and a small fire and the two of us......

3. In the mountains, the Drakensberg, tent and grass and warm shower and long walks and fresh air and the almost holy quietness around us, sipping wine and listening to nothing but crickets and nightjars and our heartbeats...

4. In the desert, the Kalahari edge of the Namib, on a tarp on top of the highest red sanddune with the warm sand under our feet and the cool night air on our faces, as we touch the velvet sky, and not a sign of civilisation in any direction......

Shaking my head to get rid of the images, and going to book a camping trip IMMEDIATELY!

I assume that we're not talking about pitching a tent inside a room at the nearest Marriott...right? If that's the case, lol, then...ummm...no camping for me either.

Nothing but the great outdoors for me! I adore camping. The rougher, the better. With a wonderful pup, however, I've been thinking RV... she's too restless at night to keep in a tiny tent. LOL

Cool That'd be awesome. Let's see how things go for me over the next few months. What a great opportunity to get out of the house! So where's this trip taking place?

Um...Shay has never been camping because her parents never took her. She feels deprived and wonders if any of the LOVELY ladies would like to take her. And no she sadly will not be there in June for the trip.

Signed,
SHAY
