Little by Little

So, last week I came out to my cousin...via Facebook. She was very supportive, as I anticipated she would be. I'm sure many can relate to the flood of emotions that overcame me as I read her response.

But that was nothing compared to the tidal wave that swept over me last night as I first "Friended" my sister on FB and then proceeded to disclose to her. I'll take "well, honey, it's about time" as her way of saying, "I love you and am happy for you."

Often times throughout the day I find myself contemplating the conversation I'll have with my parents...that must mean the time is drawing near...

I know it is because of the supportive friends I have met here, and the stories of those who have stepped here before that I have the courage to do the same.

Thank you, Ladies of Mels...

Sorry I missed this one, Out. I'm very happy for you. I don't know how to express what it meant to me to just tell one person in my life, and that became 3. I'm still alive, and loved. I'm so happy for you. Sincerely, "J"

Thank you, Mel...for the encouraging words, but more than that, thank you for following your heart to launch and maintain a site such as Mels where women can share these success stories.

Blessings to you,
