Suprisingly tastey dip

Hi all, I dont usually post in this section, but over the holidays while helping to prepare food at my cousins home I was introduced to a new (for me) dip to run your favorite chip thru.

Take one package of softened cream cheese (like Philly's)

add one can of Deviled Ham..the little tiny tins wrapped in paper..cant remember the brand...

and two finely chopped green onions

mash together and blend well.

Ill admit while preparing this, I thought to myslef...ewwww deviled ham mixed with cream cheese?...gross....
It was a truely tastey combination of ingredients!

I recommend that you use a sturdy type of chip to dip into it, as its thick...I used Frito corn chips cuz they are sturdy corn chips and have a bit of salt on them.

Let me know if anyone tries it and what you think. I was really suprised at how yummy it was.

ok..that was my two cents worth. I hope you enjoy.

As ever, ~Green

Can't actually try this (they don't sell those little deviled ham thingies here) but I'm not surprised. Cream cheese + lots of things can be yum.

I've had cream cheese + a jar of salsa...terribly yum with corn chips. I taught my nephew (12) to make cream cheese + marshmallow fluff as a fruit dip. He makes it himself for school potlucks. And, I've had little fried won ton things filled with cream cheese and crab....

omg, I've just made myself hungry...I'm off to search for a recipe for won ton wrappers...

Oh its called underwood deviled ham.. I shall try that.
Also, the crab + cream cheese stuffed crispy wontons that Hawaiian mentioned are awesome. I usually don't follow a recipe when making them just enough cream cheese and enough crab, a little dash of chopped green onions, you can also get creative and add vinegar, ginger, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, garlic...of course not all together. also, make enough because when they sit a while after frying, they lose their crispy-ness
enjoy
